Diocesan Youth Council Mission Statement
The Diocesan Youth Council will be a coordinating force for the continued development of effective ministry to youth and young adults. This will include communication and support on all levels to encourage collaboration between parishes and deaneries in our diocese.
The Church must make every effort through a revised and revitalized catechesis to ensure that adolescents do not view their preparation for and reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation as the end of their formal catechesis.”

Teens should be presented with intellectual information about their faith as well as spiritual formation that applies intellectual content to daily living and increases their love of God and neighbor.
CERTIFICATION FOR YOUTH MINISTRY
The Diocese of Pueblo will not be offering the training program for youth ministry in 2008. However the Diocese of Colorado Springs is offering courses, and youth ministers as well as D/CRE’s from the Diocese of Pueblo are welcome. You may either make up missed classes or begin the certification program. Contact Kathy Bull at kbull@diocs.org for more information.
